Greaves Corp introduces multi-function grounding clamps for I-beams
Greaves Corp. has introduced a new series of grounding clamps for I-beam applications. The new GBC2A series applies in many general I-beam applications, though it was originally designed for an outdoor large scale solar application. It is multi-functional, with broad wire range, and is available with stainless steel screws for outdoor corrosion resistance and with a cable tie mount for positioning control wires.
Without drilling the beam, the clamp mounts on an I-beam flange, other structural steel, or cable tray up to 3/8” thick. The clamp accepts wire from #2 - 14AWG copper.
The standard #GBC2A clamp uses plated steel screws. The upgraded #GBC2A-SST includes stainless steel screws for corrosion resistance, and a nylon saddle feature to mount a cable tie for outdoor/solar use. Both are made of electro-tin plated 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and are UL 467 listed for grounding. The GBC2A-SST is also UL 2703 listed for solar applications.
