Taught by Mark Florence from the Southwest Technical College, this webinar will cover Minimum Modules & String Calculations related to solar PV systems.

Although the NEC does not require these types of calculations, understanding this design process will ensure systems have a high enough voltage to operate for years into the future when taking into consideration cell temperature and system age/degradation.  This training will help you determine the minimum number of modules that should be installed in a string based on an inverter's minimum input voltage. Topics to be covered include the following:

  • Highest Expected Temperature
  • Temperature & Degradation
  • Adjusted Cell Temperature (Roof & Ground Mount)
  • Module Degradation Voltage (Roof & Ground Mount)
  • Power Temperature Coefficient (Min. Modules)
