Florida Solar One Increases Labor Force
Florida Solar One Expands Installation Workforce
South Florida’s Installation is Expanding
Florida Solar One (FS1), the tri-county’s most experienced solar contractor, has decided to increase its labor force by hiring more installers. Due to increasing demand in solar installation, FS1 has decided to increase its labor force by hiring a few full-time installers, and a few contracted installers on reserve for bigger projects. This is great news for the Florida solar economy and it is a positive sign that we are heading in the right direction. Florida Solar One gets many calls a day from people from all over the state interested in going solar, and we are saying yes more often now. In the past, due to expensive installation cost, lower demand, and less skilled workforce, FS1 was very particular about their clients and who they installed for. Things are changing, and solar installation in South Florida will continue to increase in time.
“We are very grateful to be working for Florida Solar One. This company offers the top-notch quality of installation that every customer wants, and it is my pleasure to be a part of the team that can provide it for them”, said Cyle Steyn, one of the newer installers. “I look forward to being up on that roof every day.”
Florida Solar One has a strict policy of hiring graduates of The US Solar Institute, south Florida’s only hands-on training program. US Solar Institute trains the workforce to enter the solar industry and does so in a manner that really prepares them to actively participate in the industry. All of Florida Solar One’s employees have OSHA certifications and NABCEP credentials, giving customers the peace of mind that they are dealing with a professional company.
The Florida Solar One qualifying and management team have every certification possible in this industry. The company qualifier, Ray Johnson, holds UL and NABCEP certifications, is a licensed contractor, a subject matter expert for Underwriter Laboratories, CEU provider and trainer, just to name a few. “Having all of these credentials is what sets Florida Solar One apart from the rest”, said Johnson. “We are proud to provide quality over quantity, and you will never see our crew rushing to get the job done and installing mediocrity”, he added.
Florida Solar One will continue to install with its new crew in the tri-county area. They are well equipped to service all of Monroe, Dade, and Broward counties. Having two locations in South Florida allows the FS1 team to mobilize and install in most parts of the counties without any problems. If installation capacity continues to grow the way it has in recent times, there is no doubt that the Florida Solar One team will continue to add crew members and continue to provide unparalleled service to our South Florida solar market.
