Working as part of a team, the Solar Technician provides support to the Team Lead and assists with assembling, installing, and maintaining solar panel systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics.  May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.  May perform minor electrical work such as current checks.


  • Install solar modules and associated electrical equipment such as conduit, racking and electrical wiring of the solar panel array

  • Pull inventory, pre-assemble solar modules and mounting hardware

  • Occasionally work in the the warehouse organizing equipment, accepting deliveries, preparing for installs and staging for projects, making sure everything is neat and organized

  • Maintaining the safety of themselves and others, the Solar Technician 1 & 2 adhere to all written and verbal instructions, promptly reporting and/or correcting all hazards or unsafe conditions and providing feedback to Team Leads on all safety issues

  • Clean up job site

  • Additional duties required as needed


  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, crawl spaces, etc.)

  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time

  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Google Drive applications and Microsoft Office programs

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills required

  • Excellent customer service skills required

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license

  • Thrive in a team environment
