Summary:
The Senior Energy Specialist plays a crucial role in achieving our purpose of being our customers’ competitive advantage by providing technical expertise that will aid in developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training to customers and vendors. This role will be responsible for the building and maintain relationships with Solar PV and other Energy customers and vendors in collaboration with the Account Managers, Sales Engineers, and fellow Energy specialists. On a day-to-day basis this position will work closely with Account Managers, Sales Engineers, and Energy Team to provide high level technical support and ongoing training to customers.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
• Manage sales of Solar PV Modules, Racking, Inverters, & BOS related product
• Research and negotiate effectively with customers related to costs of solar modules, inverters, racking systems and other component parts
• Develop and maintain key relationships with suppliers and customers
• Serve as the primary contact for Solar PV and other Energy suppliers
• Participate in development and implementation of Solar Energy business plan and account strategy
• Participate in energy commercial events
• Provide customer assistance via telephone, email, and on-site assistance in alignment with our Energy Service Team
• Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training and/or seminars to customers with attention to product lines and vendor offerings
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers in timely manner
• Maintain technical expertise by participating in continual learning and industry specific technical training
• Design, build, and program technical demonstration units
• Lead small groups and instruct customer training sessions

Job Requirements/Specifications:
• 2 year technical degree or 4 year college degree required
• NABCEP Certification required
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrated sales experience
• Journeyman or Masters Electrician license preferred
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code
• Advanced technical knowledge of Solar PV processes and products strongly preferred
• Advanced technical presentation/training experience
• Background in construction preferred
• Travel up to 75% (Local travel-WI/MN) to customer sites, suppliers and events
