San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) is looking for a qualified applicant to fill the Energy Services Technician position.  This position will report out of our Ridgway office.

A minimum of three years of experience with energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and technologies. Working knowledge and experience with federal and state renewable energy regulation and policy, such as net metering.  College degree in related field is preferred; experience will be considered in place of a degree. It is preferred that the chosen candidate have BPI or Resnet building analyst/energy auditing certification, be a Certified Energy Manager, and/or proven experience with energy efficiency projects and programs.  The qualified candidate must have the ability to administer energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. Ability to analyze energy use data efficiently across multiple computer applications.  Ability to represent the co-op with external organizations, agencies, members, venders and power supplier. Proficiency with online programs, social media, mobile devices and applications is a must.  Experience with energy efficiency/renewable energy grant writing and implementation, negotiating and executing contracts, and construction management experience is a plus. Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Driver’s License.  Salary is based on qualifications, with an excellent benefit package.
