| This position will be responsible for bringing new business opportunities to SunPower’s Residential & Light Commercial (RLC) Business Unit. This business unit is a global organization that sells through a single tiered dealer channel. You will investigate, create the business case and execute the go to market strategy for new strategic partnerships. You will identify the highest impact incremental growth opportunities by matching SunPower’s distribution strengths with emerging end-customer, distribution, new technology, market and competitive trends. You will evaluate and execute these partnerships by working closely with the Business Development, Channel Management, Sales and Product Marketing groups as well as SunPower executives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Spot emerging end-customer, distribution and technology trends that have synergies with RLC. - Develop a deep understanding of the market and competitive environment and SunPower’s distribution channel in order to prioritize which partners will have the largest long-term impact. - Create and manage the target partner pipeline and personally initiate and develop these relationships. - Successfully negotiate and bring co-marketing, co-distribution and co-development opportunities to the RLC channel - Form internal business plans that include analysis demonstrating improved RLC and partner profitability. - Architect the global go-to-market strategy and sell this vision to the new partners. - Negotiate win-win term sheets and final agreements with the strategic partners. - Own the partner relationship from first contact through day to day management of a signed account. - Execute partnership launches with US Channel Management and Sales and if applicable, initiate follow on launches with European & Asian Channel Management . - If the recommendation involves investment or merger & acquisition activity, champion the business case for this internally and take the lead on the negotiation externally. |
