| Upon completing the prerequisites (PV-201 & 301) the student is eligible for an Intern / Externship on the job training experience. US Solar Institute has affiliation relationships with several contractors, manufacturing, engineering and governmental offices in need of qualified solar apprentices.
The student must complete a minimum of 80 hours verified by the affiliation company official or US Solar Institute administrator or instructor. All qualifying students will receive hourly payment for their time while enrolled in this course. (minimum 80 hours, no maximum).
The intern will work on a minimum of two (2) fully permitted solar installations in the State of Florida. This meets the NABCEP and many state industry experience requirments for certifications and licensing.
Note: Many of our affiliate partnership corporations use this course as a skill set evaluation prior to full-time employment. Also, this serves the requirement for unemployment, veteran’s administration and other vocational grants. |
