This is an online course where students work at their own pace. This course is offered by Mt. San Jacinto College and it is designed to prepare students for NABCEP PV Installer Exam. Completion of this course grants 45 hours of technical training for NABCEP PV Installer candidates. Students will learn PV system component specifications, advanced solar fundamentals, sun path, system design, string sizing, site evaluation, shade analysis, system sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, NEC Code for solar, wire sizing, conduit sizing, electrical and mechanical design considerations, system commissioning, system maintenance and OSHA safety standards. The training includes over 20 hours of video instruction, hundreds of practice test questions and live interaction with the instructor. Mt. San Jacinto College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
