[Sebastopol, CA] Solmetric recently announced that the SunEye 210 is again available for purchase. The handheld electronic tool measures available solar energy by day, month and year at the press of a button by determining the shading patterns of a particular site. The SunEye 210 incorporates a calibrated fish-eye camera, electronic compass, tilt sensor and GPS to give immediate measurements in the field. The re-released SunEye 210 now includes a lifetime license for Solmetric’s PV Designer software, which enables users to import shade measurements, select modules and inverters, lay out arrays, simulate kWh production and generate PDF reports. At $2,195, the retail price of the SunEye 210 is the same as when it was discontinued in 2015.
