Panasonic Introduces All-Black Modules

[Newark, NJ] Panasonic Eco Solutions North America has added three high-efficiency models to its HIT module lineup for residential applications. Panasonic’s hetero-junction type (HIT) cells are composed of monocrystalline and amorphous silicon layers. The amorphous silicon layers minimize electron recombination, which in turn minimizes power loss and increases overall module efficiency. The 96-cell N320K, N315K and N310K modules have a rated STC power output of 320 W, 315 W and 310 W, and module efficiencies of 19.1%, 18.8% and 18.5%, respectively. The highest-power module in the line has a maximum power voltage of 58.7 V and an open-circuit voltage of 70.5 V. The module’s black cells, backsheet and frame create a uniform appearance that blends with many residential rooftops. Panasonic backs the N320K, N315K and N310K modules with a 25-year linear power output and a 15-year workmanship warranty.
